- Garmin Nuvi 660 GPS Navigator

Actual user review: "This is the first GPS unit I owned and couldn't be more pleased. After consulting with friends who have owned multiple GPS units and reading various reviews, this is one of the nicest, feature-packed, and most importantly, accurate unit on the market. Just this morning, I opted to take a longer route to get to the highway because the street I usually take was under construction. I've driven sparingly on that alternate route for 4 years and never realized there was a small intersecting street in a business district I can cut through to get to the highway more quickly. The Nuvi 660 pointed that out, basically shaving off over a mile in distance, traffic congestion, and plenty of frustration. GPS owners tell me having one will change my life... I'm starting to believe." Read all Garmin 660 user reviews

- Garmin nuvi 260W
- The Garmin nuvi 260W is the newest member of Garmin's entry level nuvi 200 series. The popularity of the nuvi 200 series made this an instant hit and sales of the 260W have been climbing since its introduction. A 4.3" wide screen version of the nuvi 260, the 260W is identical to it in all other respects. It combines the thin profile and attractive price point of other nuvi 200-series GPS with directions in real street names and a wide screen that lets you see more of what's around you as you drive. Garmin's line on the device is that, "the nuvi 260W gives consumers the most sought-after navigation features, while eliminating many of the premium add-ons. The result is a PND that simply gets you from point A to point B reliably, efficiently, and with style." As with all nuvis, you get Garmin reliability, the fast satellite lock of a high-sensitivity integrated receiver, a slim, pocket-sized navigator with a gorgeous display, detailed NAVTEQ maps that lets you search by name for more than 6 million points of interest like stores, restaurants or hospitals, and an easy, intuitive interface.
Actual user review: "I bought the Garmin nüvi 260W to help with work and family travels. After extensive research with Magellan, Mio and Tom-Tom, I bought the Garmin for three reasons. 1) Ease of use. 2) Screen clarity. 3) Amazing accuracy. And no, despite where I live, I have no affiliation with Garmin. I decided to wait until a wide screen GPS came out that didn't have so many bells and whistles and was priced fairly. The Garmin nüvi 260W 4.3-Inch fit the bill. I am amazed how it can find the driveway of my house at the end of a cul-de-sac directly adjacent to a road that is named the same. It is so accurate that it lets me know if I pulled into the wrong driveway 15 feet away from mine."
- Garmin nuvi 760
- Combining a very affordable asking price with the latest features, including text-to-speech technology and a superb user interface, the nuvi 760 also added a feature we haven't seen on any other model - the ability to transmit sound via a built-in FM transmitter. This means the unit can send sound wirelessly through your car stereo, avoiding the common occurrence of missing directions due to low volume levels. It comes with a large 4.3 inch touch screen. With a 480 x 272 pixel resolution, the display is bright and east to read. The nüvi 760 also has integrated traffic receivers and Bluetooth capability for hands-free calling. Like the rest of the wide nüvi 700-series, its premium navigation capabilities, like route planning and a handy locator, give you peace of mind on the go.
Actual user review: "I own both the Nuvi 660 and the 760, I'm writing this review for people having trouble deciding between the two as the price difference between the two products at the time of this review is about 100 dollars. I'm not going to focus on the feature differences, as that information can be easily obtained from specifications and online reviews. The 660 was a fine product back in 2005-2006, but the new 760 outdoes the 660 in practically everything, but there are some key usability fixes that make the 760 a better buy for the frequent user."
- Garmin nuvi 880
- As we've come to expect from the Nuvi line, the Garmin Nuvi 880 offers an impressive feature list and solid performance, but it's the accurate speech recognition that really pushes the Nuvi 880 over the edge and makes it one of the best GPS we've tested to date. Though expensive it comes with a solid feature list and good performance.
Actual user review: "Have been using this for about a week since the day after it came out. Long time Garmin customer, and have loved the Street Pilot series.Overall this is a great product. The voice recognition is excellent, with almost no errors if the radio is off. I do miss the remote that my street pilot came with, but as I get more used to the VR, I think that will go away. The MSN features are good, with the best one (in my mind) being the ability to send map points directly to your Nuvi without connecting it to your computer."
- Garmin Nuvi 360 GPS Navigator
- The Garmin Nuvi 360 is a GPS navigator, personal translator, multi-media entertainer and tour guide all wrapped into one. In addition to all the advanced features of the Garmin nüvi 350 - including automatic routing, turn-by-turn voice directions, an MP3 player and audio book player, JPEG picture viewer, and much more - this pocket-sized personal travel assistant comes with hands-free Bluetooth wireless technology, making it the hands-down go-anywhere travel companion.
- Magellan Maestro 4250
- The Magellan 4250 add a host of features, including text-to-speech directions that give real street names, bluetooth for hands-free phone calls, integrated traffic, and voice command. The intuitive user interface makes the Maestro series incredibly easy to use. Use the big icons on the 4.3-inch widescreen touch screen to search for your destination by address, intersection, or any of 6 million points of interest (POIs), including restaurants, hotels, airports, gas stations, and more. Live Traffic information is free for 3 months and it looks like $40 per year subscription, quite reasonable. A nice feature with this unit is that once you have entered your destination, you can look at the direction list and if you see a street that you don't want to include (let's say because you know it has heavy traffic), select that direction/step and you can exclude this from your route.
- TomTom GO 730
- The 730 sports a 4.3" extra-wide touch screen that features anti-glare technology for easy viewing even in direct sunlight. Maps of the U.S. and Canada, along with text-to-speech. The latter feature means that you'll hear "turn left on Oak Street" rather than just "turn left in 1/4 mile." It also includes a built-in FM transmitter and TomTom's Map Share technology, which allows users to make some map corrections and share them with others. Realistic and clear visual instructions are provided with high-quality 3D graphics, while spoken instructions tell you where you need to go in your own language.

A built-in lithium ion battery will give you for to eight hours of battery life, depending on use.
